Shuaiqi Xiong  is a full-time M.F.A candidate in the Visual Communication Design Program  (Focused on UI/UX design) at Rochester Institute of Technology.  I believe that the best design is one that uses aesthetics to support and enhance the content and functionality of the product.

Xiong (熊) is a Chinese character for bear.

My Life

I love to spend my breaks on playing VR games with Oculus Rift, like BEAT SABER and ROBO RECALL. I'm fascinated by the immersive experience, stunning rhythm, especially virtual reality UI and wonderful game interactivity.

I reckon a screen is just a medium for an interface, perhaps we don't even need a screen at all in the future. We enter the world where we have our own interactive system, which laid on top of our everyday visual existence. No cumbersome devices. No clumsy apps. 

As a designer, I never stop learning specialist skills and strive to program in 3D for bridging the gap between UI design and virtual reality interfaces.
