Research

Supreme, the brand synonymous with the term ‘hypebeast’. It started to become synonymous with high-quality streetwear served with a cocky, nihilistic attitude.

The Supreme logo, white Futura on a red box logo is “ inspired” by 72-year-old artist Barbara Kruger, who is famous for photography and collage installations. She uses photographic prints, video, metals, cloth, magazines, and other materials to create pictures, collage and other works of art.

Reference Font

Banco was chosen as my reference font featuring with the tapering slightly slanted strokes and sharp-edged flat brush. The face matches the Supreme brand.

The First Standard Font

Source of Inspiration

In the movie Pixels, glassy pixel cubes which can be automatically rearranged into any object inspires me a lot.

Sketches

I started from A letter and I cut it into any kind of geometric shapes and then colored in different tints. It is an interesting attempt that painted letters by watercolor.

Supreme has worked with Nike to produce a new version of the Air Force 1 High in 2014. Air Force 1 High features a “World Famous” ankle strap, Supreme written over the heel, and a Supreme box logo on the tongue tag.

This typographic poster is both legible and artistic at the same time. I modified "World Famous" letters painted by watercolor and integrated with elements of Air Force 1 High.

Sketches

For the 2011 Spring/Summer series Supreme has invited Lady Gaga as their advertising endorser. I integrated with photography, collage installations, and geometric shapes to represent the skateboarding and hip pop culture of the brand.

The Second Standard Font

The second font series is metallic style. Each letter has been filled with laser style gradient and own reflection. It is chic, vintage and perfect for the brand streetwear style.

Sketches

Supreme released a new style of the Vans Old Skool in 2016. Made exclusively for Supreme, the shoe features a cotton bouclé upper with an iridescent side stripe. The reflective metal surface of the font perfectly represents the feature of the shoe an iridescent side stripe.
